Visits for new parents and children
New Intake Open Evening - Wednesday 20th October 2009, 7pm for Year 4 children and their parents, starting in the school hall.
If your child is in Year 4 you are warmly welcomed to our Open Evening for prospective new parents and their children. All staff will be there and you will be able to view the facilities, meet all the staff and some of the children and take part in special activities and quizzes designed to show you what this school can offer your child. The evening will start in the school hall at 7pm and will finish around 8.45pm.
We also hold a “Celebration of Learning” Evening on Thursday 20th May 2010 at 7pm, open to Key Stage 2 parents and their children. Prospective parents can visit and tour the school and grounds and join in with many community activities.
On Tuesday 6th July 2010 there will be a further evening meeting for new parents where we go through school routines. You will have the opportunity to ask any questions, and we will discuss ways in which we can work together to help your children.
Oldfields Hall staff co-ordinated by Mrs Bowers, Assistant Head, will be in touch with your child's present school during Year 4. All incoming children are invited to spend time in classes here in July 2010 to help children to get to know the school and extra visits are arranged if your child attends a catchment area First School.
If your child is not in Year 5 but would like to spend time with us in July before starting in September, please telephone the school in mid-June to arrange this with the appropriate Progress Manager (see "Staffing Information").
