Parental Involvement

Please tell us at an early stage if you have any cause for concern once your child is here. Your child's Personal Organiser will enable you to contact staff quickly. If, however, the matter is urgent or confidential you should request to speak to your child's class teacher or Progress Manager by telephoning or e-mailing the school office. Please check the “Latest News” and "Calendar" on the school website. These contain up-to-date school news and all recent school newsletters.

PARENTS' EVENINGS AND REPORTS: Dates for Parents' Evenings and for the issue of written reports are entered in the “Calendar” section on the school website as soon as they are arranged. Once your child has started at the school, there will be a Parents' Evening in Year 5 around the Autumn half term, when you will be offered an appointment with your child's class teacher. You will also receive a written report during the course of the year.

Each of the other Year Groups holds Parents' Evenings which take place during the Spring or Summer Terms: subject teachers attend these. There are two evenings per year group, one for Maths, English, Science and ICT, and the other for all other subjects. Parents also receive a written school report in Years 6, 7 and 8. Dates are notified on the “Calendar“ section of the school website.

We will send an additional copy of the school report to parents who do not live with their child – please contact the school office if this applies to you.

If you have concerns, please do not wait until a parents' evening: contact the subject teacher at an early stage.
