Absence Information

Our last OFSTED report said:

A strength of the school is the good promotion of pupils’ personal development and well-being. Pupils enjoy coming to school and, as a consequence, their attendance is above the national average.

In the period from September 2008 to May 2009, when official statistics were collected, overall percentage school attendance was 95.2%. The absences include illness, medical appointments, holiday absence, absence for attendance at examinations and so on. The percentage of unauthorised absence in the same period was less than 0.1%. The number of students on roll during the school year 2008-9 was 514.
