Introduction

Oldfields Hall Middle School is a community school for boys and girls aged 9 to 13. The school buildings include a beautiful Victorian house, Oldfields Hall, which is set in magnificent grounds. The Old House was converted into a secondary school in 1959 with the addition of a hall, classroom blocks and kitchens. Specialist rooms for P.E., Science, Technology, etc., were also added. In 1974 the school became a 9-13 Middle School following local reorganisation. A new school office, new Science Labs and a new Drama Room were opened in 1999 and new Maths classrooms were added in 2002.

Most of our students come from the south of Uttoxeter and from the villages to the south of the town. We work very closely with our catchment area First Schools: these are Picknalls First School, Uttoxeter; Richard Clarke First School, Abbots Bromley; St. Augustine's First School, Draycott-in-the-Clay; St. Peter's First School, Marchington; The Talbot First School, Kingstone. Many parents from outside the catchment area also choose to send their children here.

The majority of our students leaving us at the age of thirteen go on to Thomas Alleyne's High School, Uttoxeter, with whom we work very closely. For more information, click below:
